May 8-9: Join Monticello's flower gardener and local artist, Debbie Donley, for a unique floral painting class in the Monticello Gardens. Daytime and evening session available.
May 10: Celebrate spring with a visit to Monticello’s plant nursery, the Center for Historic Plants, located just two miles from Monticello. Shop for plants, enjoy guided garden tours, and ask our knowledgeable staff your gardening questions.
June 21: Join Monticello’s Gardens & Grounds team on a guided, family-friendly nature walk along the Saunders-Monticello Trail highlighting the variety of butterflies, birds, and wildflowers that thrive in this environment.
September 13 & October 11: Join us at the Thomas Jefferson Center for Historic Plants (CHP) for one of our fall plant sales. The Monticello nursery will have a variety of flowers, trees, shrubs, and seeds available for purchase.
Enjoy Monticello’s gardens and grounds at your own pace with a Grounds Ticket. Guests can walk the mountaintop, explore the flower and vegetable gardens, see the restored spaces and exhibits under the house, or join an outdoor guided tour.
