Meet Thomas Jefferson

Guests can meet Thomas Jefferson (as portrayed by veteran historical actor-interpreter Bill Barker) in person, Tuesday through Saturday during regularly scheduled hours. Widely recognized as the foremost interpreter of our nation's third President, Barker brings a deep and nuanced portrayal of the man who wrote "all men are created equal" and who helped found the United States of America.

CHP Fall Open House and Plant Sale SEPTEMBER 16- Join us at the Thomas Jefferson Center for Historic Plants (CHP) for our Annual Fall Open House and Plant Sale, including scheduled garden tours, farm visits, and more!
Archaeology Open House OCTOBER 7 - Join us for displays of recent discoveries and walking tours into Monticello's woodlands and learn how we use archaeology to better understand the plantation and the lives of those who lived and labored here.
