Thomas Jefferson understood that conversations about society, politics, and community shape life in the United States. With this in mind, he hosted dinners known for stunning food and sparkling conversation.

Inspired by those legendary dinner parties—where great minds gathered to exchange ideas over food and drink —Monticello's Feast of Reason is an engaging program that encourages dialogue about civics over a meal using our conversation card deck. With the prompts and questions provided, you’ll be equipped to hold an engaging dialogue about civics.
