To prepare for new visitor center, Monticello will cease operations at facility on Route 20  |  May 8, 2008
The Thomas Jefferson Foundation will close its public operations at the Monticello Visitors Center on Route 20, effective Sunday, June 8. The museum shop, exhibition of Jeffersonian objects, and theater space at the center, located just south of Interstate 64, are being closed in connection with development of the Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center and Smith Education Center at Monticello.
