The Monticello Cabinet
Thomas Jefferson’s private study at Monticello, which he referred to as his “cabinet,” was the heart of his “sanctum sanctorum,” and presents a picture of the “Sage of Monticello” as statesman, scientist, philosopher, writer, and visionary. Today, the Monticello Cabinet is the heart of philanthropic support for the Thomas Jefferson Foundation.
Participants in the Monticello Cabinet act as personal advisors, advocates, and generous supporters of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation. They explore common interests and advance the Foundation’s mission. Opportunities for engagement, fellowship, and learning are offered throughout the year, including seminars on Jefferson and Monticello, special tours and magical evenings on the mountaintop.
